World of Writing Fiction:

There can be a debate on what is fiction and what is fantasy.

Where is the line between the two?

I was asked this question recently and I thought it would make a great blog.

I have said many times before...
"If you can stand in a forest and watch it come alive
where the trees can speak to you and the entire landscape becomes a world within a world."

That is fantasy. But, if reality writing where boy meets girl, kiss mooch etc.
then that is more fiction. That is really not my style of writing and really it takes a different kind of writer to be able to express romantic or realistic points of view into a writing style that
others can interpret to be great writing or even story lines.

Truth: I admire writers that can dive deep into their souls and find this story line.

I recently read a book series and actually watched the movies that
went a long with it and I really enjoyed the pair.
I thought it was beautifully wrote and professionally executed.
I applaud the author and I applaud the director, publisher etc.

That is not the genre that I present. I appreciate it and I think we can all agree
that fictional writing blended with reality settings delivered in a beautiful book is fantastic.

Its not a genre I desire to write full time.

But, if you are looking for a dragon lair or a lost world full of magical places and dreams that can jump out of the book grab you by the arm and pull you into the intensiveness of a fable that is all consuming... well, welcome to the world of fantasy.

For everyone else... I applaud you.

I can tell you that I have several books that I have wrote that are exceptionally fiction.

I have not released these yet.

I might someday, hand them over to the wolves but until then I would rather release fantasy.
